About Us: Peer Networks

Through the convening of day-long peer-to-peer exchanges and regular hosted conference calls and webinars, SAHF facilitates the exchange of information among its member organizations' professional staff. These peer groups provide a forum for their members to share best practices and discuss common challenges with the expressed goal of learning from one another’s experiences. Peer groups also meet to discuss how SAHF can best support them in their work by addressing questions that arise during the course of doing business.

SAHF’s current peer groups are comprised of developers, asset managers, corporate counsel, energy staff, public relations staff and resident services staff. The following are a few examples of peer group activities this year. The developers peer group met in San Francisco and Chicago for project evaluation sessions, where they reviewed key project data and reflected on what happened and lessons learned. The asset management peer group met in Washington, DC for a day-long meeting which included a discussion with HUD on their asset management activities as well as a discussion around areas for coordination among SAHF members. Finally, the energy peer group, which was recently formed, has been hosting monthly calls on a variety of energy related issues of interest to members.
